Yes, that Chinese Democracy. A new, studio quality version was leaked today, and luckily I found a ZIP of it, even though they actually got taken off of the site that they were hosted on, by GNR themselves. But we have it.

Ozzfest 2008 To Play One Show Only, But It's A Damn Good Lineup
Yes, after last year's "Freefest" experiment, Ozzy has decided to start charging money again. And when the legendary festival only plays one date, featuring the Ozzman himself, Metallica, Hellyeah, Serj Tankian, Jonathan Davis, and an all-star tribute to Dimebag Darrell, you just know it's gonna be expensive. Ozzy's wife Sharon is producing the concert with AEG Live, in what she calls "just the beginning".

Velvet Revolver Setting Up Website To Audition New Singers
Slash has announced that the band is setting up a website to audition a new singer, after Scott Weiland's departure to rejoin his former band, The Stone Temple Pilots. Slash has made it very clear that the band does not yet have anyone in mind to replace Weiland, saying "We're at that point of just listening to different things... it's one of those kind of situations where you can't really explain it to anybody because you'll know it when you hear it. So I'm waiting to get that feeling of, 'Yeah that's it.'" The website will be up in roughly a month.

Allman Brothers No Longer To Play Bonnaroo, Widespread Panic Takes Their Place
Due to health issues with Gregg Allman, Widespread Panic is to take their place at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival this summer. "We're thrilled that Widespread is joining the Bonnaroo lineup again this year," said Ashley Capps, president of A.C. Entertainment. "It was very disappointing that the Allman Brothers had to cancel, but we feel lucky that Panic could step in. They've been at the heart and soul of Bonnaroo from its inception and their Bonnaroo sets never fail to be an extraordinary experience for the fans."
Okay... if you're reading this you've probably seen the forum. It appears that Nick "hacked" the forum...I'm not really sure what to say. I'm not sure why he would do this...and I didn't even know that he was capable. I just don't know... I've contacted the host and they said they're working on getting a back-up of the forum and they're going to investigate the web cpanel, database, and ftp access logs and trace the IPs to find out who has done this. In the mean time I'll keep you updated on the homepage. I should be able to retrieve a back-up so things should be back.
If anyone has any info please contact me sk8nguitar44@yahoo.com
Sorry for this strange problem...I'm as confused and shocked as you.
New Gnarls Barkley Video Too Seizure-Inducing For T.V.
The video for the duo's latest, "Run", has been banned from MTV, and not for the reason you might think. (Unless, of course, you read the title.) Unlike most hip-hop videos, this was banned not for sex, drugs, or the devil's music, but instead for a retro strobe effect which it is said may cause seizures in the unsuspecting Barkley fan.
Maxim Reviews New Black Crowes Album Without Even Hearing It
Maxim Magazine recently gave the Black Crowes' upcoming release, Warpaint, a 2 1/2 star review: "The Black Crowes - Warpaint
The Black Crowes already sounded like grizzled classic rockers on their 1990 debut.
While it certainly was a neat trick for a bunch of wasted twenty-somethings to pull off,
it hasn't left Chris Robinson and the gang much room for growth. Now that they're
legitimately grizzled, they sound pretty much like they always have: boozy,
competent, and in slavish debt to the Stones, the Allmans, and the Faces."
Here's the catch - the band never gave out any advance copies, meaning it was impossible for Maxim to ever actually hear anything but the single.
